Hydronic Vs Electric Baseboard Heaters

In addition to electric baseboard heaters, there are other varieties such as gas and circulating heat baseboard heaters. Liquid circulation heaters circulate hot water through copper coils in the baseboard unit and the water is usually heated by the home boiler system.

One of the main advantages of electric baseboard heaters is that they can be installed under windows and along exterior walls. This allows the heater to combat cold air from windows and address areas of greatest heat loss. Additionally, each electric baseboard heater has its own thermostat, allowing for individual temperature control in different rooms. This is especially useful for accommodating the different temperature preferences of family members as well as managing room heating based on room usage and sensitivity to airflow.

Many consider baseboard heaters to be the most efficient type of heater, but they must still be used with a thermostat to control temperature.
